Is Bigg Boss 19’s latest Weekend Ka Vaar a response to bias claims?

Via Gossips TV: The most recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 came across as a clear effort to manage the growing backlash from fans, who had been voicing strong concerns over alleged favoritism on the show. Social media had been buzzing with accusations that both the producers and host Salman Khan were favoring certain contestants particularly Amaal Mallik. Responding directly to the criticism, Salman stated, “I’ve scolded Amaal the most right from the first weekend up until the second last one. People think I’m being biased, but that’s simply not true.”

This week, Salman didn’t pull any punches. He directly confronted Shehbaz Badesha for his off-color humor, remarking, “There’s a line between joking and being disrespectful and you’ve clearly crossed it.” Many viewers welcomed the overdue rebuke, though several noted that it should have come sooner.

Salman also commended Abhishek Bajaj, Mridul Tiwari, and Gaurav Khanna for their personal growth and more strategic approach to the game. In contrast, Tanya Mittal, Neelam Giri, and Shehbaz were called out for their questionable behavior in recent episodes. Notably, Salman’s attitude towards Neelam changed significantly shifting from praise in the previous week to criticism for limiting her role in the house to kitchen duties.

Amid intense fan criticism and trending accusations of favoritism, this Weekend Ka Vaar appeared to be a calculated move to restore the show’s image of fairness. Accountability was spread across the board even Salman himself was not spared making it one of the most discussed episodes of the season.
