Smriti Mandhana removes pictures with Palash Muchhal and unfollows him after their wedding plans are canceled.

After confirming their wedding cancellation, Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal unfollowed one another on Instagram and removed their shared pictures.

Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have ended their relationship, and a fresh development has sparked even more public interest. Following the confirmation that their wedding plans had been cancelled, the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Many of their previously shared photos also seem to have been deleted. Still, one old birthday post from two years ago remains on Smriti Mandhana’s account, in which she wrote, “Happy Birthday to the purest soul. Have a great year ahead @palash_muchhal.”

Smriti Mandhana confirms wedding is off

On Sunday, December 7, Smriti Mandhana issued an official statement on Instagram, ending weeks of speculation. She clarified that the wedding had been cancelled and asked people to respect her privacy. Mandhana said she wished to “conclude this matter here” and hoped both families would be given the space they needed. She also reiterated that playing for India remains her biggest priority.

Soon after, Palash Muchhal shared his own note. He said he had “chosen to move forward” and step away from the relationship. Calling it an extremely difficult period, he expressed hurt over the spread of baseless rumours. Muchhal urged the public to “think before judging” based on unverified information and mentioned that his team would pursue legal action against those spreading false or defamatory claims.

What unfolded after the wedding was cancelled

The ceremony, which was planned for November 23, 2025, in Sangli, was postponed abruptly when Mandhana’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana, faced a medical emergency. Hours later, Palash was also hospitalized. Following these events, both families withdrew from the public eye. Mandhana took down all posts related to the wedding, including the highly talked-about proposal video shot at DY Patil Stadium.

Muchhal similarly removed several posts, among them the proposal clip and photos from the World Cup featuring Mandhana. Lately, he has kept a low profile. He was first spotted at the airport, and later, an image of him wearing a mask during a visit to Premanand Maharaj at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj ashram in Vrindavan spread widely online.
